Who are we?

CPO, Inc. (Central Pennsylvania Observers) is a Pennsylvania non-profit Corporation. Our primary focus is on observing the wonders of the night sky. We were founded in Feburary 1997 by a group of astronomy and space enthusiasts. CPO is also a 501c(3) federal tax-exempt organization.

Long term goals

The founders of this club have a long-term vision to find a suitable location that would permit the construction of a permanent observing facility. The ideal location would be reasonably far from city lights, but would be accessible to our members.

We also hope to be able to carry out a program of astrophotography and electronic CCD imaging.
